Who Is James Hagens?
If you’re a hockey fan, chances are you’ve already heard of Hagens. Currently a freshman at Boston College, James has an impressive hockey pedigree. Before he was centering the top line in the NCAA, he was suiting up for the US National Team Development Program (USNTDP), where he showcased his skills as one of the top players on the international stage. During the IIHF U18 World Juniors in the spring of 2024, Hagens tallied 22 points in just 7 games - breaking a 13-year-old record once held by Tampa Bay's Nikita Kucherov.
James has represented Team USA with pride at the World Juniors this year, centering the first line. He tallied 9 points in 7 games helping USA secure the gold medal. He is widely regarded as the #1 prospect for the 2025 NHL Draft, according to Elite Prospects, FloHockey, TSN, and Daily Faceoff. His hockey IQ, lightning-quick hands, and relentless work ethic make him a force to be reckoned with on the ice—and an inspiration to players everywhere.
